WHIP Membership :: Membership Information

Membership is open to individuals twenty-one (21) years of age and over who have attended at least one munch or social as a nonmember. WHIP does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, class, ethnicity, origin, or disability. All contributors have the right to vote and attend all meetings, including Board meetings. For more information, see our Constitution/Bylaws.

All WHIP rules must be followed and obeyed.

If you have not attended at least one munch or social as a nonmember and would like to join WHIP, you can get a membership form at any WHIP event, and become a member on the spot (getting member rates even for your first event) if you want. Our events are all listed on our calendar, at:

If you have attended a WHIP function, and want to apply for membership, you can still do it at any future WHIP function. In the alternative, forms are here on the Web site, as follows:

We are not yet allowing Web-based submissions, because we need to get signatures on the forms. However, once you have printed out and signed any of these forms, you can either bring them to a WHIP function or mail them to:

Members

Members' yearly fees are $15.00 per individual, $20.00 per couple, $10 per each additional person.

A person who has not previously been a member must attend one munch or social as a nonmember before he or she is eligible to become a member.

Meeting and social entrance fee for WHIP Members: $15.00 per person.

* No fee will be charged to those members wishing only to attend the educational part of the evening.

Reciprocal Groups

Members of reciprocal groups receive a discounted rate for socials. You must show your current active membership card.

Nonmembers

Individuals who are not members are encouraged to attend meetings and social events. Once they have attended at least one munch or social as a nonmember, they are also encouraged to become members. Guests of WHIP members who are not themselves members of WHIP or members of reciprocal groups are charged the rates applicable to nonmembers.

Meeting and social entrance fee for nonmembers (other than members of reciprocal groups): $20.00 per person

* A $5.00 fee will be charged to those nonmembers wishing only to attend the educational part of the evening.
